The local children from the primary & preschools within the Waimea Plains catchment join the Riversdale Arts Mixed Media Exhibition each July. Showcasing their artworks in the Mavor Room of the Riversdale Community Centre, exhibits are in theme with the headline Guest Artist of the year.

Education centres including Riversdale Primary, Riversdale Playcentre, Funshine, Waikaia Primary, Waikaia Playgroup, Otama Primary, Balfour Primary & Balfour Playcentre, then take an exclusive tour of the exhibition to enjoy the visiting artists, learn about the varied mediums & styles, & see their very own masterpieces on display in gallery settings.

 Open for all to view & enjoy the works of art the children have created, there is no entry fee to the Mavor Room during the exhibition.
